1. Commencement of the GBM by the introductory talk of Mr. Baiju John, President, Asha Zurich.
   Important points:
   
   • Asha Zurich continued supporting VMS-Dhule and Akshardeep projects.
   • The group has enough funds to support projects. However, monitoring of projects must be performed much more assiduously.
     
    
2. Update of events organized in 2009 by Mrs. Akshata Kumata, General Secretary, Asha Zurich.
   Important points:
   
   • Projects in pipeline for the year 2010: Vishvanidam and Ashramshala.
    
3. Presentation of the Financial Report for the year 2009-10 by Mrs. Kirtimalini Bhattacharya, Treasurer, Asha Zurich.
   Important points:
   
   • Excellent increase in funding to the organization during the year in the form of CAYH and one-time contributions.
    
4. Project update of the Akshardeep project by Mrs.Deepa Gokarn, Project-coordinator, Akshardeep.
   Important points:
   
   • Number of classes increased to 16 in 2009 from 10 in 2008.
   • Number of mainstreamed children increased to 188 in 2009 from 144 in 2008.
    
5. Project update of the VMS-Dhule project by Mr.Bharath Sethuraman based on the contribution of Mrs. Vishakha, Project-coordinator, VMS-Dhule.
   Important points:
   
   • 2 physically-handicapped teachers were recruited during this year (2009) and their performance was judged to be excellent.
   • Report cards for children were prepared.
   • In-house Deepawali camp was organized once again this year.
   • The monthly teachers training sessions that were organized this year lasted for 2 days instead for 1 day, which was the case last year.
    
6. Information on Maa and Jananee project by Dr. Indranil Bhattacharya.
   Important points:
   
   • Maa and Jananee needs to apply for a fresh FCRA in a new name.

8. Ideas for the year 2010:
   
   • At least continuing the activities of 2009 as a minimum requirement.
   • Organizing and attending meetings regularly.
   • Organizing some of the existing events: Baden Gala Dinner, Baden Food Festival, Disco, An event based on the culture of Kerala, A large-scale event (to be decided).
   • Planning events much ahead of their actual occurrence.
   • Weltmarkt (one or two participations).
   • TEZET event.
   • Asha Gala Dinner (in November or December, with a Theme).
   • Organizing a talk by a renowned personality (Checking the WEF list).
   • Selling Rappenkellers and other such objects with an Asha Zurich logo.
   • Motivation for volunteers: organizing a picnic.
   • Project site visits.
   • Project focused meetings.
   • Disseminating knowledge about Asha Zurich projects to existing and new volunteers.
   • Preparation of Zuriyoday, tax letters and thank you letters in advance.
    
9. Passing of unanimous resolution thanking Mr. Prahalad Herle for his excellent work on improving Asha Zurich’s website.
