- Vaibhav presented
project proposal from Maiboli
Residential School for the Hearing Impaired, Yeola near Nasik, Maharashtra.
- It
was decided that we need more information.
ORGANIZATIONAL: Asha Workshop - Swati
- Swati initiated an
open discussion regarding the upcoming Asha
Workshop (01/15/2006).
ORGANIZATIONAL: Publicity Booth - Srijan
- Maharashtra
Mandal is having a cultural program soon.
- They
have asked whether Asha would be interested in
having a booth there. The fee would be $30 and we won't be able to sell
tea there.
- It
was decided that we will not have a booth there because without selling
tea there is a high chance that we won't be able to break-even.
ORGANIZATIONAL: Project Coordination - Srijan
- Need
a volunteer for looking at a proposal from Princeton
chapter - project Vasundhara.
- Astha volunteered to
be the project contact and bring it to a meeting.
ORGANIZATIONAL: Safeway Card Scheme -
Srijan
- Srijan talked about the
Safeway gift card scheme that Asha Seattle
has.
- People
can buy gift cards from us and Asha gets 5% of
whatever is spent.
- It
was felt that a west-side coordinator is needed and Tapoja
volunteered for that.
EVENT: Geetanjali - Srijan
- Srijan made an
announcement regarding Geetanjali and asking
for volunteers to coordinate the event.
- Snigdha and Palani signed up as event coordinators.
