teachers each year so it would be nice to increase their monthly salaries a
bit to pay them for their hard work and dedication to the school and its
students. The school is unable to attract good teachers. Even if a few join
them, they soon leave for a better pay and the children suffer. The teacher’s
salary that the school pays is less than Rs.50,000 a
year. Based on last count, there we 12 teachers and 18 paid staff including the
teachers. $ 5000 grant per annum will help the teachers to be paid at least
10 to 15% more, apart from adding additional teachers. The
project steward will contact the donors to make sure that the extra cost will
be absorbed in the SAC monthly amount starting from their next pay cycle.
