Minutes of Asha
Seattle meeting on 05/19/2005.
Venue: Redmond Regional Library.
Attendees: Suresh Lahoti,
Shayon, Vaibhav, Srijan, Binay, Ashita, Hamsa, Venky.
- Ashita brought in answers to the
questions posed by volunteers during her earlier
presentation of project proposal of Rural Development Trust. The
volunteers were satisfied with the answers and were of the opinion that
this is a very good project. It was decided that voting for funding this
project would take place once Vani's site visit
report is complete which should be done by the second week of June.
- Venky presented the proposal for
Language Lab for Thakkar Bapa
service Foundation. This project looks like an ambitious project
different from the projects Asha has come
across. There were lots of questions
on the budget etc. Venky also talked about the site
visit report. He will bring this proposal again at a later time once all the
questions are answered.
- Vaibhav presented the draft of the
bike ride fund raiser. Some questions were, how
to roll out Seattle
to Portland (STP) bike ride as a fund raiser for Asha.
At what level should Asha be involved? The
volunteers reviewed the presentation slides and they had many
suggestions. The consensus was to go a little low this time given that
STP is only six weeks away.
