Minutes of the meeting held on December 18, 2004

In attendance were:

Sridhar, Anirban, Kumar, Vinay, Ravi, Sumathi, Amrish and Vikas.

Following decisions were taken:

1. We will schedule a review of Anu and Krishna's work. The Fellowships 
($4,100) to this husband and wife team are funded by our Chapter. Our 
Chapter should get educated from their experiences so that they can be 
applied elsewhere. It was also felt that we need to better understand the 
structure of the Asha Fellowship Program.

2. Vikas presented the status of Aajgaon and Vasundhara projects.

(a) Going forward, it makes sense for the Aaj project to have one pottery 
instructor (they have three now) and also reduce the material costs. Vikas 
will convey our requests to the project.

(b) Vasundhara project has been going well and our Chapter has so far been 
supporting it at a level of $10,000 annually. They are aware that our 
support cannot continue indefinitely. Their proposal that the reduction of 
our funding should be done in a phased manner was accepted by us. 

Provided we have the resources, Vasundhara should be funded in the amount 
of $9,000 in calendar year 2005 and in the amount of $4,000 from Jan 2006 
to June 2006. Vikas will continue to seek other sources of support for 
this deserving project.

3. Planning for the fundraiser is being led by Ravi and his wife Kavitha. 
Good progress has been made. The date of the program is Saturday, April 
30, 2005.
