Minutes of the meeting held on December 17, 2005 (Minutes by Amrish) Present at the meeting were: Sridhar Amisha (first time) Ritu (first time) Preeti Ravi Vikas Amrish 1. After introductions, Sridhar provided an update of the Khajurdaha project. Asha Princeton has funded this project ever since the Chapter came into existence in 1998. The project is providing support toward the education of 205 children and is being run in a competent fashion. In 2005, the funding was in the amount of $6,500. For 2006, the request is for $7,000. 2. Sridhar also spoke on the status of the Khajurdaha infrastructure improvement plan that was a candidate for funding by the 2005 Work-An-Hour (WAH) Asha campaign. The amount that has been actually pledged stands at $4,096 (much less than the amount sought). Sridhar has been in touch with Khajurdaha to arrive at a scaled-down plan. 3. We received a very generous donation of $5,000 from a family in the area that is a firm believer in the Asha's mission. This infusion of money will greatly help us this year. 4. The next meeting (jointly with AID) was scheduled for January 7. Thanks. Amrish
