Minutes of the meeting on Saturday December 13, 2003
Minutes by Amrish.

The following were present.

Dipali, Mrs. Desai (Dipali's Mom), Uday, Sumathi, Amrish, Kumar,
Amit, Pragati, Vikas, Ravi Gangavarapu (new member), Shoba, Vijay

1.  Amit and Pragati presented an analysis of the 77
feedback forms collected after the Asha-Utsav held on
May 31, 2003.

The positives cited were the enthusiasm of the
volnteers and our mission. The negatives were the
sound system and the incompetence of the emcees.

2.  The options for the May 15, 2004 event were
discussed and the consensus was to explore the
possibility of having an event with international
flavor.  Kumar, Dipali and Vijay are leading the
effort but we all have to get involved when called
upon.

3.  Amrish shared the news about the $7,000 donation
from NuWare. The members expresses gratitude for the
continuing support from NuWare Foundation.

4.  Uday was authorized to send $5,000 to the
Vasundhara Science-on-Wheels Project in Maharashtra. 
The funding had been approved in a meeting a few
months ago.

5.  Kumar reported that the Newsletter was almost
ready to go. It was felt that mailings could be made
ready at the meeting on December 20.

6.  Dipali requested everyone to give her information
for the database.
