Elango Ramasamy, the Panchayat President of
Kuthambakkam village in Thiruvallur district of
Tamilnadu gave an extremely inspiring talk on how he
battled the problems of illicit liquor brewing,
casteism, poverty, lack of infrastructure and
illiteracy and developed a 5-year plan modeled after
Gandhi-Kumarappa village economy with amazing results.
