Minutes of the Saturday, July 22, 2006 chapter meeting.

Present:

Amrish, Dileep, Sridhar, Ravi, Jalpa, Subha Shree, Sumathi.

1.Sumathi provided updates from SUPPORT, and the annual report 2005. She 
indicated that since SUPPORT is fully supported by other chapters, 
Princeton chapter may not need to provide any support. However, Sumathi 
mentioned about her proposal to donate the money ($1000plus) she raised 
during the birthday of her son, Rahul, to the SUPPORT project for its 
immediate needs. The chapter agreed to do this. There was also an 
alternative suggestion that the money can be provided for 
recreational/educational trips/tours. It was decided that Sumathi would 
forward the money to the treasurer, and, the chapter will send that much 
money to the SUPPORT asking them to spend money for the immediate needs 
or recreational purposes.

2.Discussions on Right to Education continued. Sridhar provided updates 
on the activity Asha wide on this issue. Sridhar also mentioned about the 
future Asha wide activity in the form of awareness campaigns, protests, 
etc. Subha Shree shared her experience about distributing flyers on the 
RTE status. Chapter liked the idea very much and asked volunteers to 
distribute such flyers when ever they have a chance.

3.Discussions on new proposals could not be taken.
