A chapter meeting was scheduled this Saturday, July 14 at 4.30pm in Equad building: The following was the agenda: 1. Marathon training program review. 2. Shri. C. B. Naik's - Science on Wheels - visit (proposed date July 28th). 3. Work An Hour (WAH) publicity 4. Asha Fellowship proposal - Sireesha from Timbaktu Collective, a social worker, working in the areas of women's issues. Present: Ravi, Sowmya, Kavitha, Sridhar, Vinay, Sumathi There were no formal discussions on the agenda topics due to lack of quorum. Sumathi, Vinay and Rahul joined little later. Sowmya discussed with Vinay about the treasurer activities since Sowmya volunteered to take the treasurer responsibility. Vinay handed over documents and material in his possession to Sowmya. Vinay provided treasurer related information to Sowmya. So, Sowmya took over treasurer responsibility from Vinay. Vinay also handed over Asha merchandise to Ravi (T-shirts, diyas, mugs). An informal discussion focused on the declining active volunteers at the chapter and its impact on our ability to support our project partners and provide our decisions on new proposals that would allow them to reach other potential sources. It was suggested that developing guidelines in counting the active volunteers that would help decide the quorum may help the situation. Vinay made a suggestion that chapter can consider virtual volunteers so that volunteers associated with Princeton chapter when they move out can participate in the chapter activities. There was another suggestion that two Asha chapters (Princeton and CNJ) in New Jersey be merged into one to avoid problems faced by Princeton. Meeting ended with best wishes and good luck to Vinay, Sumathi and Rahul. Minutes posted by Ravi.
