They get 'complimentary' tickets proportionate to their donation. Kumar will shortly send the sponsorship letters to the mailing list. We will have one level ticket prices, as it best suits individual and corporate sponsorships. The program name will be 'Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani' . The venue will be decided by the end of the week. 2. Projects for WAH 2002 : We will submit 2 projects to WAH(Work An Hour - the Internet-based project-wise fundraising program) this year. Kajurdaha and Vasundhara-Eureka Hall(This was submitted last year too, and it just missed making it to the 5 projects selected). Vikas is preparing the Vasundhara proposal.. Sridhar and Shanmuga are preparing the Kajurdaha proposal. The deadline for submission is March 15th. 2. Vasundhara New Proposal - answers to questions raised earlier. The proposal is to extend reach from 40 to 60 schools, expand experiments to help 5th-7th grade children, conduct regular teacher training workshops, extend experiments to Maths and geography. The funds requirement is $16,000. Vikas had presented this proposal several weeks ago and several questions were raised at that meeting. In this meeting, Rohini and Vikas presented the answers provided by the Vasundhara group. The proposal and the responses can be found at : http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ashaprinceton/files/Vasundhara/ Rohini has visited the project several times and said that the people who run the Vasundhara program were highly motivated and have made good use of the funds we have provided so far. They are also capable of handling the new expansion. Given these above factors, and our own funding situation, we decided to fund them with $10,000 which would cover everything except expanding to 5th-7th grades. However, we will try to find alternate funding sources., like other Asha chapters(Seattle/Silicon Valley) or some other agency for charity like the Melinda-Gates Foundation. Of course, we now have to raise all the money we have committed for, which amounts to $26,000 . Friends, lets put in all the efforts we can.. and make our fundraiser on May 18th, a grand success! Best Wishes, Sumathi
