Minutes of the meeting held on January 15, 2005
(Minutes by Amrish and Priyanka.)

In attendance were:

Sudhakar, Ravi, Amrish, Kumar, Sridhar and the
following newcomers:

1. Tara Hariharan
2. Anil Goel
3. Chanadan
4. Lipika
5. Supratim

1. There was a round of introductions and newcomers
were welcomed.
Sridhar described the projects that are beong
supported by our Chapter. Kumar explained the working
of the organization. Tara felt that awareness about
Asha needs to be raised among Princeton students.
Anil and Lipika may be able to offer their expertise
in accounting to the organization.

2. Asha is involved in raising money for tsunami
relief efforts and has raised over $100,000. However,
our Chapter has not been a participant in this effort.

3. We do not have structured work available for high
school students who may wish to volunteer their time
to Asha. But there may be opportunities to work at
projects in India during the summer. These have to be
explored on a case-by-case basis.

4. Sudhakar distributed the calendars. We need more.

5. Kumar described the status of the fundraiser. The
date is set for April 30, 2005. The plan is to go
with the Geetanjali group. We will have a meeting on
January 22 exclusively to do planning for the event.
